MEMORIES: THE SISTERS

Memories: The Sisters
monotype with Chine collé and vintage photo copy
, 6"x8"

This piece can be purchased here

This abstract landscape is a monotype print with chine collé. It was printed on black paper using a mustard-colored ink. Pieces of paper, fabric and a vintage photo (copy) were arranged on the inked plate just before the image was transferred to paper using an etching press.

Hi Grace Lee, I like these works your doing using photos! I love works with a history behind...Thanks for sharing!

Christmas is a very busy time of the year for me, that’s why it's been so hard to answer to your tag, which by the way I'm flattered, thank you!! Since I have to write all those things about me and find other people and such and I really don't have much time these days. But as soon as this year is over I'll get on it!

Happy Holidays and best wishes for the the New Year! Corina

Thank you for your comments, plastic business card, shopping cart and Karin. I like working with the black paper. I can get more details scraping through the opaque ink to reveal the black paper.
Corina, thanks for your comment on my art. I understand completely about the tag. Don't worry about it.
Happy Holidays to you.

Really love your work with the photo here. The mixture of mediums makes this piece visually interesting, yet you have found a way to make it pleasing to the eye as well. Really great work. art
