In the Garden of Ilmatar
monotype print with Chine collé, 9"x12"

Ilmatar is the Water Mother, the Creatrix of the World. She brooded on the waters and laid six golden eggs and one iron egg. From this she created the world. The Finns celebrate her as the Great Mother of the Cosmos.
